Consultations
If there is something in your life that is driving your crazy and you just can't figure out how to make it work, I can help you think through it. Not everyone needs someone to come in and actually do the organizing for them. Sometimes you just need help thinking about something from a different perspective to get started and then you are off and flying and able to do the job yourself. A consultation is a one-hour meeting with you in the space you need organized. I ask lots of questions, do a lot of listening, and then put together a plan. Afterward, you are free to decide if you can take the design and implement the plan on your own, or if you want to hire me to do the organizing for you as well.
Small Projects
A small project is one that will take 1-2 days to complete. An example is something like a desk, or a small drop zone by the back or garage door. These are not always small projects because sometimes we find during a consultation that the issues stem from other areas that will need to be addressed, but if they can be dealt with on their own they could be small projects. The plan I present to you after a consultation will include how much time I believe the project should take as well as an estimate of what it would cost if you decide you want to hire me to do the job.
Average Size Projects
An average size project is one that will take 3-5 days to complete. Pantries are good examples of an average size project, but like the small projects, it will depend on whether your needs include other areas as well or truly are contained to only the area you see as disorganized. Just like with the small project, this will be presented in the plan I present to you after the consultation and you are free to decide if you want to do it yourself or hire me to implement the plan. Also, with average size projects, you may see my assessment from the consultation and want to hire me to just do the part initially discussed but you want to address other areas I believe are affecting the initial space on your own after the first space is organized. We can divide average size projects into separate small projects that leaves you free to determine if you want to hire me to do some of the small projects and do some on your own.
Large Projects
Large projects are ones that will take more than a week. A good example of this is a garage, or a whole room or an office. These types of projects almost always include assessing other parts of the house or office as well. While it can be priced by the project, it will almost certainly be broken down into several small or average size projects and worked on in those stages.
Haul Away
When organizing, there will inevitably be stuff to sell, trash, or donate. If you hire me to do a project, getting rid of things you decide you don't need is part of the service I provide. I manage the sales of things you want sold and take trash and items to be donated to those places for you to make your organizing project less of a hassle.
Purchasing items
If you need containers, baskets, peg boards, desks, anything at all to organize a space, I make these for you during the project always discussing prices first. As an organizer, I have trade deals with companies that allows me to find you the best value for your money. In addition, if you have an issue with a product, I deal with the returns or replacements rather than you. I stay in touch with you about costs throughout the project so there are no surprises about what you have spent at the end. You will receive a labor invoice and a product invoice at the end of the project so you know exactly what was spent and where.
Costs
Each project is different so I quote each individually. After a consultation, part of the plan I draw up will include the time I believe it should take and the labor cost associated with my work schedule. This cost never includes products since products are always up to client approval. Each project will include 2 bills: one is my labor fee and one is for any products I purchase on your behalf always with your approval.
